Many organisations have valuable insight and experience of working directly with groups that are under-represented on the electoral register. That is why government funded a number of national charities who work with many different groups to develop resources which can be used to engage people in the democratic process. They are designed to motivate and inform those who are not on the electoral register and who do not have representation in the electoral process.
This suite of resources covers everything from the history of democracy to the practicalities of registering to vote. They include a number of interactive approaches for getting people engaged in democracy, such as one to one support, peer to peer training, quizzes, workshops and leaflets.
