The Collective Leadership events are part of the programme of events to strengthen the collective leadership across the Civil Service. They provide a platform for the effective sharing and development of knowledge, skills and experience at the highest levels of government.
Civil Service Leadership Group event
The Civil Service Leadership Group is made up of Permanent Secretaries and Directors General from across the Civil Service. This group used to be called the Top 200.
The event takes place three times a year providing a platform for the effective sharing and development of knowledge, skills and experience at the highest levels of government.
Deputy Director events
The events are part of the programme of events to strengthen the collective leadership across the Civil Service at SCS1/Deputy Director level.

Director’s event
The Director’s event has traditionally been held at Civil Service Live London as part of the series of Collective Leadership Events. It brings together Directors/SCS2 from across the Civil Service to build the collective leadership of the SCS.
Permanent Secretary breakfasts for Directors
The events are informal conversations hosted by Permanent Secretaries across government for Directors/SCS2. The purpose is to encourage communication and collective leadership across government. They are for Directors/SCS2 from outside the host’s department and offer the opportunity for Directors/SCS2 to meet and discuss cross cutting Civil Service business.
Permanent Secretary away days
The events are part of the programme of events to strengthen the collective leadership across the Civil Service. The event(s) bring Permanent Secretaries together including second Permanent Secretaries and equivalent representatives to discuss the strategic priorities and challenges for the Civil Service.
